the day i formed the earth and the sky, i knew my plans for you.
the day i spoke the words and filled the sky with light, i knew your name, your worth, your beauty. and i loved you even then.
i formed you in your mother's womb and molded you into my own image. and just as you held that tiny frog from the pond in your hands, in awe of its new life, filled with the joy of watching the possibilities of its journey unfold right there in your palms, i've held you in my hands from the very beginning of your life.
and i have watched you grow.
i have given you wings and the breeze of my Spirit that gives them flight. i have shaped you and lifted you up each time you have fallen. i speak to you even as you dream deep into the night unaware of my presence.
and though winters may be cold and the love of others may seem scarce and far from you, know that my arms that hold you are forever warm and my love for you is never distant - and will never cease.
i think of you daily. i hear even the faintest beatings of your heart and see even the smallest of tears that flee from your eyes. i place angels by your side who watch over you and keep you, and i have given you my Son, my Word, to guide you and be near you every moment of your days.
wherever you go, i am with you, leading you, protecting you, opening and sometimes even closing doors for you. i want you close to me every day, even on the days when you may feel i'm nowhere to be found. there is never a day when you are any less precious, any less marvelous, any less beautiful, simply because you are My child.
